Cyanotype and screen printing workshop
This workshop offers a practical introduction to alternative printing processes, exploring cyanotype and screen printing as tools for artistic experimentation. Based on his experience, Délio Jasse will demonstrate the different stages of these processes, sharing techniques and methodologies that combine photography, printing, and archiving.
Throughout the session, participants will follow the preparation of materials, the sensitization of supports, the exposure, printing, and development processes, and will be invited to directly experiment with each technique and produce their own images. The workshop prioritizes a practical approach, where experimentation, manipulation of materials, and contact with manual processes play a central role.
In addition to the technical component, the workshop addresses the expressive potential of cyanotype and screen printing in contemporary artistic practice, highlighting how these historical techniques continue to be reactivated as spaces for visual research and creation.
