Júlia Otero

Júlia Otero is a visual artist that wanders on the topics of feminine, ancestry, gender and race. Her works navigate through the languages of painting, engraving, installation, video and drawing. She had many individual exhibitions in the city she currently lives in, Floriapónis/ SC, as well as exposing her work in other Brazilian cities and states. She is an awarded artist, as also having her work selected from more than a thousand projects to win an art grant from Brazilian Federal Cultural Department (FUNARTE). Julia is also a master’s student in art theory and history at the University of the State of Santa Catarina (Udesc – Brasil).
