This 4-hour workshop is designed for visual artists interested in exploring clay and ceramics as creative mediums. It goes beyond basic theory, emphasizing the importance of tactile perception in working with ceramics. Participants will learn key hand-building techniques, including pinch construction, coiling, and slab work. The workshop is hands-on, with an emphasis on open discussion and idea sharing. While no prior experience in ceramics is needed, artists are encouraged to bring images of their current work, along with sketches or concepts of what they’d like to explore in their ceramic pieces.
